Member New: Farmerline has joined the SME Finance Forum Global Membership Network

Washington, D.C., June 8th, 2020Farmerline became the newest member of the SME Finance Forum, a global membership network that brings together financial institutions, technology companies, and development finance institutions to share knowledge, spur innovation, and promote the growth of SMEs. 

“40 percent of small and medium businesses worldwide struggle to get access to the credit and capital that they need to grow their enterprises. We are delighted to welcome Farmerline to our network of more than 180 members who are working to eliminate the finance gap for SMEs,” said Matthew Gamser, CEO of the Forum. `

Farmerline is a company that combines technology, and a network of field agents to serve farmers and other players throughout the agricultural value chain. Farmerline and its partners have digitised and served over 500,000 farmers, mapping 1 million acres of farmland across 16 countries. Farmerline’s technology, Mergdata, was included on TIME Magazine list of 100 best inventions of 2019. In 2018, they were recognized as the second most innovative company by Fast Company.

“Our participation at the Forum’s annual event in 2019 showed us the quality of the network, and it encouraged us to join with the aim of contributing our knowledge, learning from other members, and potentially forming partnerships with other members,“ said Alloysius Attah, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Farmerline.
