How Loans to Small Businesses Are Changing Lives in Lebanon
IFC began partnering with Bank Audi in 2015. IFC provided the company with detailed advice on how to launch a pioneering line of collateral-free small business loans—and since Bank Audi joined forces with IFC, it has disbursed 5,000 of these loans. SME Finance Forum CEO Keynotes ADFIMI International Development Forum
Matthew Gamser, CEO of the SME Finance Forum, was the keynote speaker at the ADFIMI International Development Forum on September 11-12 in Istanbul, Turkey. Under the theme, “SME Finance and Development in the Age of Digitalization,” the Forum analyzed the current state of knowledge about contributions of SMEs to economic and social well-being globally and in Organization of Islamic Cooperation Countries.

IFC helps financing of SMEs in Argentina by funding BIND Banco
IFC will provide $55 million to BIND Banco Industrial to increase the bank’s lending to SMEs in Argentina. The funds will allow BIND to offer SMEs longer-term financing options.
According to the article, even though SMEs are essential to job creation and growth, “more than 70 percent of Argentina’s SMEs have difficulties accessing financing.”
